Your Party Scotland is a member-led democratic, anti-racist, anti-colonialist and anti-imperialist socialist party that stands for social justice, peace and international solidarity.

Our goal is to create an egalitarian society by the transfer of wealth and power,
now concentrated in the hands of the few, to the overwhelming majority in a democratic, socialist society, including through the democratic public ownership of the major sectors of the economy including banks.

Our task is to build a mass democratic party for the many, rooted in a broad and united popular alliance with the working class at its heart.

Our aim is to win elections with a socialist programme of action for real change, but also to transform our country, in the interests of the many, not the few. Your Party Scotland and our elected councillors and parliamentarians will never vote for cuts and will support the moving of legal no cuts budgets in council chambers and in Holyrood.

Your Party Scotland will be visible between elections, not just around them. We will be committed to working with our many diverse communities, because we believe that diversity is a strength rather than a hindrance.

Your Party Scotland recognises the ongoing and evolving nature of the Scottish constitutional debate, and the variety of deeply held views held by our members and the wider Scottish public. We support and will defend the right to self-determination, including the right of the Scottish Parliament to call a second referendum on independence.

Your Party Scotland believes that an independent Scotland is the best route to improve the lives of people in Scotland and achieve socialism.

We seek to change the balance of power at every level of society, by organising and campaigning in communities and workplaces, in trade unions, social and grassroots movements, across the regions of Scotland.

Your Party Scotland is committed to equality across our society. We oppose all forms of prejudice, oppression, discrimination and scapegoating, which are weaponised by ruling elites to divide people and communities.

We reject a capitalist order that is responsible for grotesque levels of inequality both at home and abroad. We favour the extension of democracy over the economy, including the public ownership of key sectors and services.

The same economic order that exploits people is destroying the planet, fuelling the global climate and ecological crises that threaten us all – crises which Scotland has played a role in creating, and which disproportionately threaten communities in the global south.

Your Party Scotland commits to urgent, radical action that is rooted in sustainability and environmental justice. This includes a fair, rapid and just transition to green energy, food and industry. Crucially, we also pledge to protect, restore and grant rights to nature, in our aim to create a society where humans live with respect for the natural world and all other beings.

We oppose the global system of imperial domination and colonisation, and support movements for national liberation and self-determination. We stand against militarism and for a world free of nuclear weapons.

Your Party Scotland stands for freedom – from poverty, exploitation and war – and in defence of democratic rights and liberties. Our focus will be on social need, not personal greed.

Billionaires and corporations are now in control of our country. Your Party Scotland aims at its democratic and socialist transformation: by redistributing that power and wealth to all.
